Real Reason Brooklyn Nets Don’t Want Jimmy Butler Revealed
Jimmy Butler will almost certainly be playing for a new team next season.
After he and the Miami Heat were unable to come to an agreement on a fresh, long-term contract this past summer, the move became an inevitability.
Already three frontrunners have emerged for his services.
One team who isn’t among that group, though? The Brooklyn Nets.

This week the real reason why emerged.
“Towards the start of the season, the Brooklyn Nets and Golden State Warriors were among the teams linked to Jimmy Butler, per reports. While Butler has drawn interest from the Nets in past years, he’s not viewed as a fit for Brooklyn’s rebuilding timeline at 35,” HoopsHype reported.
Clearly Brooklyn is simply looking to start anew right now.
“Just about everyone on their roster is available as long as they don’t take back long-term money,” one source told Brian Windhorst as it pertains to the Nets this week.

That means Butler to Brooklyn is a no-go.
Where will he ultimately end up when everything is said and done? Time will tell. But it is increasingly looking like it won’t be the Nets.
