Democratic Representative Jasmine Crockett incinerates Republicans for their racist gerrymandering and “Republican math” in an epic Congressional tirade.

This is what a rising star sounds like…

“In 2020 according to the census — and we know that there was a significant undercount specifically in Texas for a combination of reasons — but we know that specifically Texas added four million people,” said Crockett.

“Of those four million people, do you want to take a guess at how many were Anglos? Just a guess?” Crockett asked Robert Santos, Director of United States Census Bureau.

“I’d say a majority,” replied Santos.

“A hundred and eighty thousand. That’s it! Of four million,” said Crockett. “Ninety-five percent of the people that were added — and we know that when it comes to minority populations they tend to be undercounted.”

“So get this: we added four million people. They were people of color,” she continued. “Texas got two new seats. So they took those Black and brown and Asian bodies and guess what? Do you think that we got a new Black, brown, or Asian seat?”

“Somehow they way that they do their Republican math in the state of Texas, that amounted to two new white seats! Guess what? White Republicans seats!” she went on. “We got two new Republican seats our of four million people of color. So let me tell you they love to use our bodies to apportion us in an inaccurate way.”

Well said Congresswoman! Right-wingers don’t believe in democracy. They do everything they can to dilute and weaken the voting power of minorities because they’re terrified of losing elections.

If Congressional districts were apportioned fairly, we’d have far fewer Republicans in our government.
